Our goal
People who search for Spotloan are often under money pressure and short on time. Our job is to give them accurate, current and easy-to-read information so they can make a good decision. That includes being honest about high costs, legal history and better alternatives, even when that means a reader decides not to borrow.
How we research
We start with primary sources whenever we can. For Spotloan, that means:
- Spotloan's own pages, including its FAQ, how-it-works page and disclosures, for rates, amounts, terms, funding times and state availability.
- Regulators and government agencies, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the National Credit Union Administration, the FTC and state banking departments.
- Court and settlement records, such as published class action settlements and state settlement agreements.
We use reputable third-party reviews only for facts a lender doesn't publish itself, such as a typical minimum loan amount, and we say so in the text. For competitor terms, we label figures as published terms and ask readers to verify them with the lender. We never invent figures. When we show cost examples, we label them as estimates and explain how we calculated them.
How we fact-check
Every page is published under the SpotloanApplyUSA Editorial Team byline rather than an individual name. Before a page goes live, each specific claim, such as a rate, a dollar amount, a date or a state list, is checked against its source as a separate review step. If a fact can’t be confirmed, we remove it or describe it in general terms. Each page lists the sources it relies on, so you can check them yourself.
How often we update
Loan terms change. We re-verify key Spotloan facts at least monthly and date every page. When something important changes, such as a new APR tier, a state being added or removed, or a change in who services the loans, we update the affected pages and the date. Where a fact is likely to change, we say "as of" with the month and year.
Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we want to fix it fast. If you spot an error or something that's out of date, email us at [email protected] with the page address and what you believe is wrong. We'll review it, check the source, and correct the page if needed. Significant corrections are reflected in the page's updated date.
No fake reviews
We do not publish fake reviews, testimonials or star ratings. We don't invent customer quotes. When we discuss what borrowers say about Spotloan, we summarize public sources such as the Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot and link to them so you can read the reviews yourself.
Use of software and AI tools
We use software tools, including AI tools, in research, drafting and quality checks. Our team reviews pages before they are published, and specific facts are checked against the sources we cite. Cost examples come from a documented calculation, not from a tool’s guess. Tools never decide what we publish.
Conflicts of interest
SpotloanApplyUSA is an independent loan-request service. Lenders and partners may pay us when a reader is matched with them through our form. That business relationship doesn't affect what we write. Partners don't review, edit or approve our content, and we don't change facts, rankings or conclusions to favor anyone who pays us. We are not affiliated with Spotloan or Ningo Lending LLC.
